Lead Facilitator/ Family Intervention Specialist

To help families address crises and dysfunctional behaviors to achieve positive change and improve well-being.  Using specialized strategies, and guidance, they will lead families through processes to help a member with a problem, like addiction or mental health issues, seek treatment and recover, while also empowering the family to build a healthier future.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guide Families Through Crisis 

They serve as an unbiased mediator, providing support and structure to families facing challenges such as substance abuse, mental health conditions, or other behavioral problems.


Facilitate Treatment

They help family members understand the need for professional help and facilitate their acceptance into a treatment program.


Address Family Systems

Interventions focus on repairing dysfunctional dynamics and teaching families new ways of thinking to support lasting change.


Provide Education and Resources

They educate families on the specific problem, explain the recovery process, and connect them to community resources and support systems.


Empower Caregivers

They help family members develop tools for setting boundaries, providing support, and improving their own well-being during the recovery process.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Therapeutic Skills

Extensive experience in utilizing counseling and therapy techniques to facilitate communication and emotional processing.


Conflict Resolution

Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are required to handle high-stress situations.


Knowledge of Resources

Must have a deep understanding of social services, treatment programs, and community resources.


EDUCATION:

A master's degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a Human Service-related field is required.  Must be an independently Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

Family Protection Specialist

To provide support, guidance, and resources to families facing challenges in areas like child welfare, domestic violence, mental health problems, and substance abuse.  Theses professionals will assess client needs, create service plans, and connect families with community resources, such as financial assistance, housing, and job placement.  They will act as liaisons between families and agencies, provide counseling, coordinate services, and advocate for clients to ensure the safety and welfare of family members.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Needs Assessment

Interview clients to understand their situations, capabilities, and problems to determine the services required.


Service Planning 

Develop and implement service plans with clients, setting goals and arranging for support services (e,g, counseling, childcare, and parenting classes).


Resource Connection

Refer clients to community resources, such as job placement agencies, legal aid, housing assistance, or medical treatment.


Case Management

Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of case history and client progress.


Collaboration

Work with other professionals, including teachers, law enforcement, school personnel to address issues and provide solutions.


Crisis Intervention

Provide support and crisis intervention during stressful situations.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Practical experience in social services or case management is required.


Interpersonal Skills

Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with families.


Organizational Skills

Proficiency in managing a caseload, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.


Technical Skills

Familiarity with case management software and relevant technology.


EDUCATION:

A bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field is required.

Administrative Specialist

To oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the center, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and providing general support to the director.  


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Calendar and Schedule Management

Coordinating complex schedules, managing appointments, and proactively scheduling meetings to ensure adequate preparation time.


Communication and Liaison

Screening calls, managing email, and acting as a primary point of contact between the director, clients, and outside agencies.


Information Management

Handling confidential information, organizing documents, preparing reports, and conducting research .


Project and Event Management

Organizing team communications, planning internal and off-site events, and assisting with various special projects.


Administrative and Office Support

Performing tasks such as data entry, expense reporting, and maintaining contact databases.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proactivity and Strategic Thinking

Ability to anticipate needs, stay ahead of potential issues, and make critical decisions.


Exceptional Communication

Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and outside agencies, and maintain a positive professional image.


Strong Organizational Skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and information with precision.


Technical Proficiency

Ability to use technology for scheduling, data maintenance, and various business applications.


Confidentiality

Ability to uphold strict discretion when handling sensitive and private information.


Interpersonal Skills

Ability to build positive professional relationships with a high degree of empathy.


EDUCATION:

An associate degree in business preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish helpful.

Career Development Specialist

To help clients with professional direction by conducting assessments, providing personalized counseling, and developing custom career plans to achieve employment goals.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Assessment

Administer and interpret personality, skills , and interest assessments to identify clients' strengths and career goals.


Career Counseling

Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to discuss career options, provide tailored guidance, and help clients develop personalized career plans.


Job Search Skills

Teach clients effective job strategies, resume and cover letter writing, and how to prepare for interviews through mock sessions.


Resource Connection

Network with employers to find job openings and provide information on current job market trends and opportunities.


Workshops and Training

Coordinate and facilitate workshops on career development topics and help clients develop necessary soft skills for workplace success.


Support and Advocacy

Offer support to clients throughout challenging times and assist them in accessing needed services, including employment, education, or financial assistance.


Documentation

Maintain accurate and organized records of client progress, interactions, and service plans.



REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Active Listening and Communication

To effectively counsel clients and build strong relationships with bot individuals and employers.


Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving

To assess needs, develop creative solutions, and adapt service plans.


Cultural Competence

To effectively work with diverse client populations and understand their varied backgrounds.


Organizational Skills

To manage multiple clients, track progress, and maintained detailed records.


Cultural Competence Resilience and Adaptability

To support clients through difficult transitions and adjust to changes in their lives or the job market.


EDUCATION:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related human services field is required.   Master's degree in social work preferred.
