Who We Are

Based in Atlanta, House of Mercy Outreach Services is a private faith-based and mission-driven social enterprise that aims to protect human rights through restorative frameworks and community building, ensuring underserved individuals receive the advocacy and professional guidance needed to thrive.  We want to empower marginalized individuals and strengthen the foundational bonds of the community by integrating human rights advocacy with direct social services.

We recognize that a safe, nurturing home is the cornerstone of a healthy society.  Our Family Preservation initiatives are designed to protect the rights of children and parents to remain united in a stable environment.  We believe that family stability and individual well-being are not just social goals - they are fundamental human rights.  Our mission centers on empowering individuals and households to overcome crises by providing the essential tools for stability, safety,  and long-term success.

House of Mercy Outreach Services offers a comprehensive range of social services designed to keep families together and thriving.  We prioritize family preservation, professional training, and trauma-informed care.  The organization integrates clinical mental health, restorative justice,  and professional advocacy to stabilize family and protect human rights.

We operate on the principle that emotional wellness and family unity are fundamental human rights.  The organization focuses on protecting these rights through a unique Mediation Therapy model, which combines conflict resolution with clinical healing to prevent the unnecessary separation of children from their families.

At House of Mercy Outreach Services, we are dedicated to family preservation and restoration.  We offer a safe space for families to heal and grow.

Our main aim is to keep children with their parents safely and prevent the need for them to be removed from their home by providing support and resources to address various challenges.   We help families overcome those challenges and improve their ability to care for their children by connecting them with financial assistance, job training, parenting classes, and mental health & mediation therapy services.

Our focus is on strengthening family relationships and resolving conflicts to prevent the unnecessary separation of children from the families.  We provide family mediation  to improve communication, resolve conflicts, enhance parenting skills, and strengthen family bonds.

Our intervention plans are individualized and tailored to meet the specific needs of each family.  We take a holistic approach to family mediation.  We consider all aspects of the individuals involved to address the root causes of the conflict  and achieve the best resolution.

COURT-ORDERED MEDIATION IN CHILD PROTECTION CASES

Fleurise Davis, LL.M. is available for mediation consultation for Georgia families dealing with DFACS cases involving abuse or neglect allegations , permanency, visitation, and etc.  The fear of children removed by DFACS is a serious concern for many parents.  This fear is often rooted in a lack of understanding about the process, past negative experiences, or general anxiety about the child welfare system.  Fleurise Davis is a knowledgeable family mediator in the state of Georgia who can help parents understand the mediation process, assess their situation, and determine if mediation is the right approach for them.

Mediation is a time-saving and cost-effective alternative to traditional litigation for resolving family  disputes and child protection cases.  Mediation proceedings are private and confidential.  What is discussed during a mediation session remains private and cannot be disclosed in later legal proceedings.  Statements made during mediation, offers, admissions, and even drafts are not admissible in court.  Mediators cannot disclose information from the mediation to anyone outside the process, except in serious circumstances that involve  public interest, legal obligations, or specific harms.

Fleurise Davis is a family mediator who can help you find creative and flexible solutions to your family disputes.  She is a Georgia child protection mediator who can help resolve disputes related to your child welfare cases.  She is a mental health professional who is knowledgeable about child development, family dynamics, impacts of parental separation, and the effects of trauma from abuse and neglect. She will help you clarify and satisfy the conditions to keep your family together.

MEDIATION OF CASES WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Fleurise Davis,  LL.M. is available for mediation of family cases with a history of domestic violence.  She is specifically trained in how to handle cases involving domestic violence issues, such as intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, child abuse, and elder abuse.  She is confident in her ability to maintain the peace while efficiently facilitating communication between the parties and exploring agreeable solutions.

Selecting the right mediator for your family cases can significantly impact the outcome of a mediation process.  Talk with a therapist who cares and will listen with unconditional positive regard, creating a safe space for parties to openly express their views, address underlying issues, clarify misunderstandings, identify the core of disagreements and concerns, brainstorm potential solutions, evaluate pros and cons, and negotiate and draft agreements.
