MEDIATION THERAPY TRAINING

In partnership with Faith Christian School of Social Sciences Mental Health & Mediation Therapy program, we offer a specialized training in mediation for mental health professionals.

Mediation therapy is a conflict resolution process led by a mental health professional that combines collaborative problem-solving with emotional support and healing, aiming to help parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement while also resolving underlying emotional stress and promoting individual growth.  This approach is distinct from traditional mediation because it directly addresses the psychological dynamics that fuel conflict, making it suitable for deep divides, family disputes and situations where emotional healing is as important as a practical resolution.

House of Mercy Outreach Services, through Faith Christian Vocational & Professional Schools International, provides a comprehensive and interactive 3-hour course for continuing education or introductory training that includes numerous valuable role-plays with personalized coaching.  This course is offered online and a certificate in mediation therapy will be provided by Faith Christian School of Social Sciences upon completion.

We provide mediation therapy training for neutrals with no background in mental health.  Mediation therapy is a process where a neutral mediator helps  individuals, often family members or couples, to resolve conflict by achieving mutual understanding and agreement on practical matters, even if they do not agree on the core issues.  Unlike traditional mediation or therapy, mediation therapy aims for growth-inducing process focused on self-determination and empowerment, helping parties move past dysfunctional patterns and towards a shared understanding and a plan for the future.

This course will provide participants with an overview of core theoretical concepts and practical application, with a strong emphasis on role-playing to practice and integrate skills.  Upon completion of the course, a certificate in mediation therapy will be provided to the participants by Faith Christian School of Social Sciences.
